Breeding Appaloosas began with one Appaloosa mare named Angel.  Later in 1975, West Pine's Scott's Pride was purchased from a breeder in British Columbia.  These two were the basis for our herd.

After several years of breeding our herd has grown to a large going concern.  We have several mares and 5 studs standing at this point.

Our horses have some of the top blood lines in North America, like Colida, Apache, Bright Eyes Brother, Toby I,  Toby II,  Patches, Mansfield Comanche, Mighty Bright, Patchy, Sundance, Top Hat H, Wapati, Old Blue Mare, Red Dog, Blue Vitriol,  Little Joe, and many others. Most of the horses are double registered, in Canada and the United States.  We have some F2s, some F3s (80+%, on the American scale) and some F4s (93 +%)

One of the challenges of breeding horses for this many years, is that you become inventive when needing to name a new addition. You will see evidence of this in some of the names.  There is generally a story behind every name, please feel free to ask how each one came about getting their name.
